Location

5/23 The Strand, Onetangi, Waiheke, Auckland 1081

The Hibiscus is perfectly situated on beautiful Onetangi beach, Waiheke Island's longest beach that has golden sand stretching for 2km, pristine water, all day sun and overlooks the magnificent Great Barrier and Little Barrier Islands.

The Hibiscus is also a stone's throw from world class restaurants Ki Maha and 372, and stumbling distance from Charlie Farley's, Waiheke's iconic beach bar. A short walk up the road is the Four Square supermarket, the petrol station, the liquor store and the local fish & chip shop. And a short electric bus ride up the road are The Heke Kitchen, Brewery & Distillery, Wild on Waiheke and the award winning vineyards of Te Motu, Tantalus and Stonyridge.

It is all on your doorstep!

Getting To The Hibiscus

Waiheke is a 35-minute trip via the passenger ferry from downtown Auckland or a 45-minute trip via the car & passenger ferry from Half Moon Bay. Both ferry terminals are about 30-minutes from Auckland Airport.

You can also fly direct to the island from Auckland via helicopter, and land at the airport or at one of the vineyards.

On the island, there is a frequent bus service, taxis, rental vehicles, scooters/bikes and private transfer options available.

Fullers Passenger Ferry

Fullers provides regular service to Waiheke Island with ferries departing from downtown Auckland (some via Devonport) to Matiatia wharf on Waiheke. Advance bookings for the passenger ferry are not required however we do suggest arriving early in peak season.
